안녕하세요, 마이에듀프렙 My EDU Prep의 대표 마리안(이승연)입니다. 저는 University of Cambridge에서 교육학 석사를 졸업했으며, 석사 과정에서 부모의 학습 참여와 자녀의 실패에 대한 두려움의 관계를 연구했습니다.I am Marianne Lee, founder of My EDU Prep. I completed a master’s degree in Education at the University of Cambridge, where my research explored the relationship between parental involvement in learning and children’s fear of failure.
현재는 국제학교 인증기관인 NEASC 및 CIS의 학교 평가 활동에 참여하며, 국제교육 현장을 가까이에서 경험하고 있습니다.I now participate in school evaluation work with the international accreditation bodies NEASC and CIS, staying closely connected to the realities of international education.

제가 My EDU Prep에서 가장 중요하게 생각하는 것은 단순히 좋은 학교에 진학시키는 것만이 아닙니다.At My EDU Prep, the priority is not simply gaining admission to a prestigious school.
한국에서 자라 영국에서 직접 학생으로 공부하고, 이후 교육자로 학생들을 가르치며, 국제교육 전문가로 다양한 학교와 가정을 만나왔습니다. 그 과정에서 같은 목표를 가지고 있더라도 학생의 성향과 학업 수준, 가정의 상황에 따라 필요한 선택과 전략은 모두 다르다는 것을 경험했습니다.Having grown up in Korea, studied in the UK, taught as an educator, and worked with schools and families across international education, I have seen that students with the same goal may need very different choices and strategies according to their profile, academic level and family context.
그래서 My EDU Prep은 정해진 하나의 답을 모든 학생에게 제시하지 않습니다.That is why My EDU Prep does not offer one prescribed answer to every student.
학생이 현재 어디에 있는지, 어떤 가능성을 가지고 있는지, 앞으로 어떤 환경에서 성장하고 싶은지를 함께 살펴보고, 각 학생과 가정에 맞는 교육 방향을 설계하고 필요한 기회와 사람을 연결하는 것을 중요하게 생각합니다.We look closely at where the student is now, their potential, and the environment in which they hope to grow. We then design a direction for that student and family, connecting the opportunities and people they genuinely need.

Cambridge University Society Korea와 CAMentrepreneurs Seoul Chapter를 비롯한 영국 및 국제교육 커뮤니티에서 활발히 활동하며, 교육자·대학 관계자·학교 리더들과 지속적으로 교류하고 있습니다. 또한 영국대사관에서 개최되는 동문 및 영국 관련 커뮤니티 행사에도 운영 및 진행 등의 형태로 참여해왔습니다.Through Cambridge University Society Korea, the CAMentrepreneurs Seoul Chapter, and wider UK and international education communities, Marianne maintains active relationships with educators, university representatives and school leaders. She has also supported and hosted alumni and UK community events at the British Embassy.

Why My EDU Prep
학부모님들은 누구보다 자녀에게 좋은 기회를 주고 싶어 합니다. 하지만 해외교육은 정보도 많고 선택지도 많아, 무엇이 정말 우리 아이에게 필요한 선택인지 판단하는 것 자체가 어려울 때가 있습니다.Parents want to give their children the best possible opportunities. Yet international education offers so much information and so many options that deciding what a particular child genuinely needs can itself become difficult.
학생으로서 직접 해외교육을 경험했고, 교사로서 학생을 가르쳤으며, 이제는 국제교육 현장에서 학교와 가정을 함께 만나고 있는 Marianne이 그 과정에서 조금 더 정확한 방향을 찾고, 불필요한 시행착오를 줄일 수 있도록 돕는 것.Drawing on experience as an international student, teacher and education professional working with schools and families, Marianne helps each family find a clearer direction and avoid unnecessary trial and error.
